Chris Smith

Chris Smith is a certified Black Belt instructor under Charles Gracie. He is the first American to receive a Black Belt from Charles Gracie. Mr. Smith is a highly devoted teacher and student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He brings to the table years of Martial Arts experience, and has a great group of people under him at his academy. Gustavo Froes

Gustavo Moreira Cezar Froes began his training in Judo in 1997 in Rio de Janeiro under the instruction of Wanderlei Santana and later Pedro Bial. At the age of 14, Professor Froes began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Mestre Paulo Mauricio Strauch. At the age of 18, he began training with Joe Moreira. He has also trained with Mester Mansur, Marlus Vinicius, Alan Goes, Carlos August, and several others. Professor Fores received his 4th Degree Black Belt from Joe Moreira in 2008.

Shelley Morris

Shelley Morris has been training in martial arts since 1998. Her career as a Core-Kickboxing Instructor started in 1999. She is the Program Director of Tiger Martial Arts and the Head Little Tiger Instructor.

She is currently working toward her Black Belt in Jiu Sool Do. She loves working with children & adults as well as providing private lessons.
 

Paul Meier

Paul Meier started training Jiu-Sool-Do under Master Chris Smith in late 2003. He has had the opportunity to study with several different JSD teachers, as well as teach children’s classes himself, and was awarded his 1st degree Black Belt in late 2008. Shortly after beginning Jiu-Sool-Do, he also started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, also under Master Smith. He is an active competitor in BJJ, and has fought in tournaments such as the Pan American Championships, the US Open, Battle of the Bay and Rumble in the Redwoods. He currently holds a purple belt.

In 2005, Paul started training Inayan Eskrima under Pangulong Guro Jon Ward. In addition to his own training, Paul also teaches Inayan Eskrima under the guidance of Guro Ward. In 2007, and again in 2009, he travelled to Germany to participate in one of the largest Filipino Martial Art Summer Camps in the world. He currently holds his 4th Phase in the art of Inayan Eskrima.
